Dear Jorge,

As our guest author Craig Ballantyne talked about in Tuesday's newsletter, it can be challenging to avoid procrastination. This is especially true when you have a project that you don't want to do or you simply don't enjoy, so you put it off instead of dealing with it.

You may also procrastinate because you think you can't afford to hire people to help you, or because you think that no one else can do the task better than you. If this sounds like you, then I have good news for you.

In today's Main Essay, I share a 3-step process on how you can get work done, at little or no cost, so that you avoid procrastination and get everything done faster and cheaper than you ever imagined.

In the Check It Out section, you will learn about a great way to package and sell your services through micro-task sites like the ones I talk about in the Main Essay. Many people ask us regularly for recommendations on how to make $20-$30 per hour from home. So we've included more information about how to perform micro-task services as one way to help you accomplish this.

In the Quick Tips section, you will learn how to transform your body, how to get rid of what is holding you back, and how to lift your spirits by doing something simple.

We hope you enjoy this issue of the Business Thrival Newsletter.

Turn Procrastination Into Productivity

As a business owner, your life is extremely busy. You work long hours and have days where you are overloaded with information and tasks. The constant information overload makes it impossible to get everything done, regardless if you like what you are doing or not.

But then there are those days where you initially put things off because you don't think you know how to do it, or simply can't get it done because you have no one helping you.

Wouldn't it be nice if you had a magic wand that you could wave and instantly have a team of people working for you (for little to no cost) so you could get everything done? Well, you can. It is easier than ever, if you know where to look.

Let's walk through a 3-step process that show you how to get more work done, at little or no cost, so that your business is more profitable and productive.

Step #1: Identify All The Projects You Can Delegate

The first step is to identify all the projects you have on your plate that can be delegated so that you do not use this as an excuse to procrastinate. As business owners, you may be trying to do everything yourself, for revenue reasons, or because you think no one else can do those tasks.

You should delegate things to others every opportunity you get. Entrepreneurs tend to be perfectionists, so this is often a difficult task to accomplish. The hard part to overcome is the fact that the other person may not do the task as well as you could do it yourself.

If you can delegate certain tasks to others that they can get 80% right, could you make it right in less time than it would have taken you to do it yourself from scratch? Or, is this the type of task that 80% right is acceptable so it doesn't really matter anyway. In either situation, if the answer is yes, then that task SHOULD be delegated.

A common objection that people make to delegation is "but I cannot afford to hire someone to help me with it ". The reality is that it is cheaper than ever before to hire people to assist you.

Step #2: Use Micro-Task Sites To Get Common Projects Done For Pennies

Once you have identified all the projects you can delegate, you then track down people to do the work for you, but within your budget. And the key is "within your budget".

In today's global economy, it is easier than ever before to find and hire talented workers to get your projects done professionally, timely, and inexpensively.

There are tons of "micro-task" web sites where highly skilled people are willing to perform nearly any task that a small business needs done, for a very nominal fee.

A great micro-task site where you can get lots of things done cheaply for your own business is Fiverr.

Fiverr is an online marketplace where people from all over the world can post tasks they are willing to perform for $5. With over 640,000 listings, there is a great chance you can find someone who will help you with what you are looking for.
For example, for just $5 you can get a web site installed, have a logo created, have articles written and/or distributed to thousands of sites, increase your social media presence with blog posts, get Likes on Facebook or Tweets on Twitter, have post cards mailed out to your customers, and much more.

It's hard to believe that you can get all of these types of services done for only $5. Heck you can't even buy a fast-food combo meal for $5 these days in most countries. That price point certainly sounds like a bargain if you're the one buying the task.

(As a side-note, if you are someone who wants to provide services to others, then Fiverr is a great place to give you tons of exposure for tasks you're willing to perform for $5 and higher.
See the Check It Out Section for more info.)

Step #3: Hire One Or More People To Work With You On A Regular Basis

In today's global economy, you can find a lot of highly talented people who are willing to work within your budget for very little cost.

For example, with high school and college students, you may find that these individuals want the experience more than a big paycheck. With stay-at-home moms and retirees, you may find that these individuals will work for less money to have flexibility with their schedules.

If you are interested in working with people in other countries, a great source we have found is in the Philippines. In the Philippines, children are taught English in the school systems, so they have great English speaking and communication skills. And their time zone is nearly opposite that of the United States. So Philippine workers are great for getting work done while you may be sleeping.

You can hire a Filipino worker for $200-$400 USD per month, full time, depending on their degree and experience, and the type of position you need them for.

And if you just need someone part time, the rates can be even lower. The standard of living and exchange rate is different in the Philippines, so this is considered a fair wage for them, and they are happy to do the work.

A great web site to use if you are interested in hiring Filipino workers is onlinejobs.ph.

Or, you can do a combination like Denise and I do, where we use several people in our own country, and a few people in other countries. This helps us to get a lot of work done around the clock so that we do not allow ourselves to procrastinate.

It's great to assign a project right before you go to bed, and then wake up in the morning to have the completed project waiting for you.

To be honest, the reason that Denise and I get more accomplished than many other businesses is because we have a 24-hour operation.

We feel like it is important to support the economy of our own country and hire local workers. But we also believe that hiring a few people in other countries so we can generate more revenue, create better content, and pay more in taxes is also good for our country's economy.

Whether you agree with this view or not, I totally respect that you have the right to your own opinion. However, you need to be aware that this is how the world operates today, whether you agree with it or not.

But no matter what, we recommend you start with hiring people as contractors first. You don't need to rush out and hire employees to work for you. You can work with so many people on a contractual basis, either by the project, or by the hour, or for a fixed number of hours per month.

If you put this 3-step process into practice, you will be able to get more work done, at little or no cost, so that your business is more profitable and productive.

1. Identify all the projects that can be delegated to others.

2. Once you have identified all the projects you can delegate, leverage the power of micro-task web sites like Fiverr to hire talented individuals on a project-by-project basis.

3. For those tasks you want done on a daily or weekly basis, consider hiring one or more people full time or part time to help you on a regular basis. You can even hire people in different time zones if you want to have a 24-hour operation.

Body:

Do you have any excess body fat that you are trying to shed away? If so, then start with reducing your fructose consumption. If you remember from high school, fructose is often called "fruit sugar" as it is found in higher amounts from fruit. It is also found in highly processed foods and beverages. Fructose is an unhealthy sugar because of the way the body absorbs it and converts it to fat. So, shrink your stomach by simply reducing this type of sugar.

Mind:

Fear is one of the biggest things that hold us back from accomplishing whatever we've set out to do. Have you ever found yourself saying "What if [this happens]?" And when you complete the sentence, it is a negative outcome that you are afraid of. All those negative "what if" statements are scaring you into thinking we are not capable of certain things. But the good news is that you can reverse this effect. The next time you find yourself thinking a negative "what if", immediately turn it around and make it positive. For example, say "What if this works and I finally get the freedom I've been looking for", or "What if this works and I am able to help so many more people". This strategy will build your confidence and help you let go of whatever is holding you back.

Spirit:

When something goes wrong allow yourself to recognize that it went wrong. Don't mentally beat yourself up over it. When you catch yourself doing this, simply stop. Replace any negative thoughts with the phrase "I am doing the best I know how to do. When I know a better way and can do it, I will."
