Subject: Rejuvenate Your Liver to Fight Fat Forever

The way researchers, nutritionists, and most doctors dance around the issue of fat gain and obesity can be maddening. Some of their favorite confusing phrases are "increased risk," "high ratio" and "greater odds."
But what do those buzz words really tell you? For the most part, it's just abstract science.
Seems like they never actually get around to advising you on the best ways to prevent fat buildup in the first place so you can stay lean and healthy.
Well today I'm going to show you how to use two nutrients and two powerful herbs and a mysteriously powerful fruit to rejuvenate the organ most critical to help you fight fat, plain and simple.
So let's talk turkey... or actually, let's talk liver.
Your Under-Appreciated Liver...
Your Body's Best Fat Fighter?
Your liver is the second biggest organ in your body after your skin, and it does all the heavy lifting of breaking down your food and using it to power your body. But, when there's an excess of nutrients - when you eat a little too much - your liver is going to take those extra nutrients, turn them into fat, and then send them out into your body to be stored as fatty tissue.
That's how all kinds of problems start, especially the creation of:
  • Visceral fat, a very dangerous hidden fat that accumulates around organs and can contribute to disease and cancer
  • White adipose tissue, the fat you can see that builds up and causes obesity
  • Gallstones, which are made of some of the byproducts of fat processing. More than 80 percent of all gallbladder cancer patients have gallstones.
But you can prevent these problems of excess fat by detoxifying, rejuvenating and optimizing the function of your liver.
The first thing you want to do is increase a substance called glucose tolerance factor (GTF). Your liver makes it from two nutrients - the mineral chromium and the super-antioxidant glutathione...

GTF acts with insulin (which chromium also contributes to) in order to regulate blood sugar levels and keep your body from turning your excess nutrients into fat.
You don't need much chromium. Only about 400 micrograms a day. But even the foods that give you some chromium like red meat and tomatoes will only give you about a tenth of that. To supplement, a good absorbable form is chromium polynicotinate.
Your body makes glutathione from three amino acids: glutamine, glycine and cysteine. So eating foods high in amino acids like meat, eggs and fish will raise your glutathione levels.
So will eating Brussels sprouts because they have the glutathione-increasing compound cyanohydroxybutene. You can now also get reliable glutathione supplements. Take a gram per day.
Another glutathione builder is turmeric from the roots of the circuma longa plant.
It's probably no coincidence that turmeric also enhances and strengthens your liver while helping your body metabolize fats. Turmeric has been found to decrease the fat storage rate in liver cells. In one study, they gave animals turmeric and a high fat diet. But instead of getting fat, they lost weight.1 The turmeric had stopped fat buildup.
You can get whole fresh or dried turmeric at specialty and health food stores, and the extract is available in capsule form. Try to get enteric coated capsules, so that the turmeric makes it past your digestive acids and actually gets absorbed into your body.
The Chinese fruit called the wolfberry has components that regenerate liver cells and protect against liver damage caused by medications or other environmental chemicals. There are so many studies that show this fruit, lycium barbarum, protects the liver that I couldn't list them all here.
The active compounds that provide this effect are the poly-saccharides, which also guard the liver from alcohol-induced fatty liver disease.2
You can find wolfberries at most health food stores and the extracts are available as dietary supplements. Try to get an extract that's at least 50% polysaccharides.
You may not have heard of the incredible herb guduchi, but it's called "The Divine Plant" in it's native India's 7,000 year old system of healing called Ayurveda. It's scientific name is Tinospora cordifolia, and it is specifically known as a very powerful liver detoxifier.
Guduchi also protects your liver from the effects of synthetic drugs and other chemical toxins. It is also said to assist in liver tissue regeneration. In one study, researchers attempted to induce liver damage with lead, and the animals that got guduchi were protected.3 They also had increases of the most powerful antioxidant your body can make, called SOD.
Guduchi is available as a supplement and it's very inexpensive. It is sometimes also called amrit but don't worry, they are the same plant.
And remember, the protective, detoxifying effects of these nutrients help your liver do its job better. That means your liver can metabolize extra fats instead of storing them.
Wishing you strength and vitality,
Jason Kennedy
