   Hi Jorge,

Logically, you might think that nobody should
EVER have any trouble getting motivated.

You think about what you want to achieve. You
think about the rewards and benefits inherent in
getting that particular task completed. Then you
do it.

   Sounds simple, doesn't it?

But isn't it funny how MOTIVATION is such a big
problem for so many people?

Many of us have issues actually getting
ourselves up off our backsides and taking steps to
get to where we want to go.

We might be paralyzed by a fear of even
ATTEMPTING to achieve what we want. We might not
know how to do it.

Or, we might just be too indifferent about it -
the rewards don't seem achievable to us, and
therefore there's not much point expending any
mental or physical energy in trying to achieve it.

"Trying is the first step toward failing," you
might think, and leave it at that.

This is where you need to figure out what KIND
of motivation actually works for you.

ANTHONY ROBBINS: "There are 2 things that
motivate people toward success: inspiration and
desperation."

Robbins - the world-famous motivator and life
coach - has struck on an interesting truth in this
pithy statement: that there are 2 different kinds
of motivation.

There is "away from" motivation, and there is
"toward" motivation.

People who are "away from" motivated tend to be
excellent problem solvers. They see the PROBLEMS
inherent in things. They're motivated by the
AVOIDANCE of unpleasant sensations like pain,
stress, and anxiety.

For example, to motivate themselves to get a
rust patch on their car fixed, they wouldn't be
motivated by thinking about how shiny and
immaculate their car would look with a fresh coat
of paint. They'd be motivated by the thought of
how much the rust will cost to fix if they allow
it get any worse, and how bad the car will look if
the rust isn't fixed.

They're motivated by a desire to AVOID certain
things.

People who are "toward" motivated are motivated
by positive things, like pleasure, goals, and
rewards. They tend to respond well to perks and
incentives - for example, an office worker who's
motivated by 'toward' results would be motivated
by things like bonuses, holidays, additional
perks, and potential promotions.

Knowing which kind of end result drives you is
a BIG part of motivating yourself to achieving
what you want.

Although it might seem as though option #2 -
"toward" motivation - is the more 'positive'
option, this is actually not true. In fact, it's
possible to achieve PLENTY with EITHER option, and
each option has its advantages and disadvantages.

Being an "away from" motivated person is just
as handy and open to opportunity as being a
"toward" motivated person.

The NLP Comprehensive Training Team uses the
example of Dr Zweig, a famous 'away from'
motivated person, to prove the worth of this type
of motivation.

Dr Zweig is a famous stock forecaster. His
desire NOT to lose money and NOT "get hurt" by the
stock exchange is what has prompted his legendary
dynamic caution when managing funds - and has
prompted his even MORE legendary multi-billion
dollar fortune.

Dr Zweig advises other "away from" motivated
people to be aware of 3 important things:

   - That the further away you get from the
"threat" that's motivating you, the more your
motivation may diminish. So let's say you're
motivated by a fear of loneliness. You get
yourself a boyfriend, so you're no longer lonely.
He may not actually be a very good boyfriend for
you, but because your primary threat - that of
loneliness - has been neutralized, your motivation
to get a BETTER boyfriend isn't strong enough to
change the status quo.

   - "Away from" motivateds are more focused on
what they're getting away FROM than what they're
heading TOWARDS. This can prompt a kind of 'out of
the frying pan, into the fire' chain of results:
they're so focused on what they DON'T want that
they neglect to think about what they DO want.

   - The primary motivator of "away from"
motivated people is NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. Things
like pain, anguish, anxiety, and discomfort are
what prompt "away from" people to act. Without a
consciousness of this mental motivation
programming, "away from" people can be subject to
putting up with TOO MUCH mental anguish before
they make a decision to change. True "away from"
achievers know that they are most productive when
they consciously adjust their tolerance of pain
and stress to being very LOW. In other words,
they're spurred to act by only very mild levels of
pain and stress, instead of waiting until things
get really bad before acting.

As we've already spoken about, your VALUES are
a crucial part of motivating you to achieve what
you want out of life. Your values are what teach
you what you want, and what you DON'T want in
life, love, and relationships.

To consistently achieve high results in
whatever you put your hand to, you need to
identify what your most important values are. Once
you know this, you can then take steps to fulfill
those values.

So let's have a quick recap before we go any
further.

   So far, you know:

   - What motivates you: whether it's the fear of
unpleasant things ("away from"), or the desire of
pleasant things ("towards")

   - What you need to beware of if you're an "away
from" person, so that you can make the most of
your personality without suffering undue stress

   - That you must know WHAT YOUR VALUES ARE
before you can hope to motivate yourself to
achieve them

Now, it's time to figure out how to motivate
YOURSELF towards getting the man and the
relationship that you really want!

Let's be honest here. How many of us really,
REALLY want a satisfying, rewarding, fulfilling,
long-term relationship with somebody who we really
CONNECT with?

Studies have shown that, for the majority of
single men AND women, THIS IS THEIR NUMBER ONE
PRIORITY IN LIFE.

Isn't it weird, then, how few people seem to
actually GET it?

And how many, out of those people who actually
FIND a long-term relationship, who end up
discovering that that relationship wasn't actually
what they wanted, after all? That what they REALLY
wanted was something quite different to what they
ended up with?

Humans are bad at 'predictive forecasting',
which is the art of KNOWING WHAT YOU WANT.

We've already talked about how to make sure YOU
know what YOU want, so that you don't find
yourself in the predicament of achieving your
goals ... only to find that they're not what you
want after all!

So now, let's talk about how you can ACHIEVE
your goals as they pertain to dating and
relationships.

These might be goals like, "Become more
sociable and confident in social situations."

Or, "Get into the best shape ever so I look and
feel really attractive."

Or, "Throw a Singles Party so I can start
taking control of my romantic future."

Upon reflection, you'll find that there are
often quite strong DISCOURAGERS in place that work
to STOP us from achieving our goals.

For example, if your goal was to throw a
singles party, you might be discouraged from
trying to achieve your goal by a fear that nobody
would come.

If your goal was to get into the best shape of
your life so that you looked and felt great, you
might be discouraged by a dislike of physical
exertion.

If your goal was to become more sociable, you
might be held back by a fear of nervousness, and a
fear of doing or saying the wrong thing in social
situations.

A lack of motivation isn't anything to do with
LAZINESS. As you now know, there are usually
discouragers at work that are JUST as strong as
the motivators that we have.

The result is that we're trapped between these
two poles, wishing for change, but unable to
commit to an action either way.

This is not a satisfying place to be in!

The trick to overcoming these completely
natural, completely commonplace discouragers?

   It's all in the DETAILS.

Practitioners of NLP call these details
"submodalities". These are the "fine print" of any
task, action, or item.

For example, the submodalities of an IMAGE
could be that it's 3-dimensional or flat. It could
be Technicolor, sepia, or black and white. It
could be panoramic and seen right up close, or it
could be small, faint, and far away.

(For more information on submodalities, see the
book, "NLP: The New Technology of Achievement", by
the NLP Comprehensive Training Team.)

Interestingly, the human brain uses certain,
predictable patterns of submodalities when it's
dealing with things it's ATTRACTED to.

So if you were to visualize a delicious piece
of rich, moist chocolate cake right now, you'd
most likely see it close up to your face, in high
detail and flattering, inviting color. You'd be
able to SMELL its rich fudginess. You'd see how
the light reflected off its glossy, buttery
frosting.

In contrast to this, things that are
UNATTRACTIVE are usually seen by the human brain
as being very small, distant, fuzzy, and far away.

So, for example, think of a plateful of
Brussels Sprouts, and you'll likely see them a
small, dull picture of an undefined plate of green
vegetables. There is little detail. The colors are
dull and uninviting. They're at a distance to you,
not right up close to your face like the chocolate
cake was.

How this applies to you: YOU CAN MAKE THINGS
ATTRACTIVE TO YOURSELF SIMPLY BY CHANGING THE
SUBMODALITIES OF THAT THING.

You can make yourself want to do things, simply
by changing the way your brain looks at them.

Alter the submodalities, and you alter your
desires. Simple as that.

To do this, visualize the END RESULT THAT YOU
WANT in clear, glossy, high-definition color.

See yourself talking confidently and happily to
that good-looking guy. Smell the faint aroma of
cologne on his collar. See the light gleam off his
white teeth as he laughs at your jokes. Enjoy the
sound of his voice as he flirts with you.
Visualize what you're wearing, how you look, and
how your hair is styled. Picture him asking you
out on a date, and imagine how you'll feel as he
does.

Make this picture BIG, BRIGHT, and CLOSE UP.

Now visualize the alternative: yourself NOT
talking to this guy - perhaps you're watching him
from across the room, from your vantage point
behind the potted plant.

To make this picture as UNATTRACTIVE as
possible, make it SMALL, DIM, DULL, and FAR AWAY.

Your brain will NATURALLY be drawn towards that
which is big, bright, and close-up.

When you make a picture of your end goals as
RICH, ATTRACTIVE, and COMPELLING as possible,
you're more motivated to get it. There are some
truly incredible success stories attached to the
use of NLP (which is what this crafting of
submodalities and theory of motivation types is
based on.)

If you want to know more about NLP and how you
can use it to quickly, easily, and dramatically
change your own life and relationships for the
better, I recommend that you take a moment and
read "Conversation Chemistry".

"Conversation Chemistry" comes with an entire
bonus book dedicated to the theories and
strategies of NLP and how it can be used to
develop a strong, fulfilling, and rewarding
relationship.

The Label Trap: How Men Categorize Women

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Mirabelle Summers <news@meetyoursweet.com>

Subject: The Label Trap: How Men Categorize Women

   Hi, Jorge,

Do you ever see women who are REALLY successful
with men in action, and wonder what their secret
is?

Do you ever see women you think are less
attractive than yourself getting more attention
from men than you do?

Would you like to know how to be one of those
"successful women"?

Then I invite you to take a moment and check
out this book:

http://www.meetyoursweet.com/selfconfidence/women/index.php

You'll learn what the number-one most CRUCIAL
ingredient is for success with your career, your
friendships, your relationships, dating, and men
in general. A hint: it's called SELF-CONFIDENCE.

It's the most critical aspect of a happy and
fulfilled life. You NEED to get a handle on this.

To find out why it's so important, and how YOU
can become more self confident starting RIGHT NOW,
I recommend you take a look.

I'd like to take a moment now to talk about how
men categorize women - and what YOU can do to
avoid negative categorization. (It can make the
difference between a man feeling that "I HAVE to
talk to that woman" attraction, and sheer
indifference.)

So let me ask you a question: would you like to
avoid shooting yourself in the foot with guys
before you even begin?

Of course you would.  So you'll want to make sure
you don't fall into the Label Trap.

In case you've never heard of the Label Trap,
let me explain what I mean.

In the dating world, guys that have been single
or dating on and off for awhile develop pretty
thick skins. They get used to a certain amount of
rejection, game-playing, and general time-wasting
unpleasantness.

They NEED this thick skin in order to retain
their sanity, after getting knocked back time and
time again ... or after having relationship after
relationship fail.

But one thing that's NOT so good about this
cavalier attitude towards dating is that, in order
to save themselves unnecessary effort, anxiety,
and a possible let-down, men who've been active on
the dating scene for awhile often start to
CATEGORIZE women.

They pigeonhole them after just a few seconds'
appraisal, based on their looks or a few giveaway
habits.

In other words: how you come across to guys in
the first few seconds makes a BIG difference in
their overall attitude towards you.

It affects whether or not you get approached.
It affects the KIND of man that'll approach you.
And it'll determine his attitude towards you when
he DOES approach.

This is why it's necessary for you to put your
BEST foot forward, and make sure that you're being
the most attractive "you" that you can genuinely
be.

At this point, you  might wonder, "But why
can't I just be myself? Why do I have to be
conscious of the way I come across? Isn't the
whole point of dating to find someone who likes me
FOR MYSELF?"

My answer? Yes, of course it is. But let's be
honest here! A lot of this is pure common sense.
When you get right down to it, you want to portray
your BEST and most ATTRACTIVE self to prospective
suitors.   If you were going to a job interview,
you wouldn't expect your interviewers to hire you
for "who  you are", would you?

No, of course not. You'd dress the part, you'd
make sure you were on your best behavior, and
you'd act in an appropriate way that showcased
your best abilities and personality traits.

You wouldn't feel as though you weren't being
"true to yourself", or as if you were manipulating
your potential employer, by deliberately dressing
and acting the part.

If you want to make the cut, you've gotta be
the BEST "you" that you can be!

Dating is JUST the same. You aren't going to be
"covering up" any aspects of your personality, or
pretending to be someone that you're not.

You ARE going to be making the most of your
GOOD points, and allowing your less attractive
ones to fade into the background.

   Allow me to illustrate. Here's a real-life
example of the Label Trap at work.

   ****** CLIENT LETTER ******

   Hi Mirabelle,

I was out with a group of girlfriends the other
night at a popular singles bar. All my friends got
approached and asked to dance, except for me. It
was really humiliating.

I know I could have got up and asked someone to
dance myself, or danced without a partner ... but
after seeing everyone else get asked apart from
me, my heart just wasn't in it.

Here's the worst part: one of my friends took
pity on me and asked the guy she was dancing with
why none of his friends had picked me. And guess
what he said??  He said that I looked like an "ice
princess" and that his friends had me pegged for
someone that would probably be quite high
maintenance.

Mirabelle, I must admit that I'm completely
flabbergasted.  I know I wasn't having the best
time, but I hardly think it's fair for me to be
labeled a "sour-face" just because I didn't get
asked to dance. If someone had got their act
together and asked me, I would have cheered right
up and gone back to being my real happy
flirtatious smiling self again.

What I want to know is, how can I find someone
who's actually going to "get" me for who I am, and
not just write me off as an 'untouchable' at first
glance?

   Caroline

   Newark, NJ

   ****** MY RESPONSE ******

   Caroline,

You're going about this the wrong way.

I understand that it's hurtful and aggravating
when people misread your mood or your personality.
But unfortunately, you've only got yourself to
blame here.

In a perfect world, you could rely on men to
see past your exterior to the fun-loving good-time
gal ... you know, the one that lies beneath your
pouting expression, folded arms, and bored,
expectant expression.

But unfortunately, the world is no more perfect
than you or I!

So ... no, may not be "fair" that you got labeled
a sour-face because you were disappointed.

And no, it ,may not be "reasonable" for you to
be written-off as a good potential date because
you happened to be having a bad night.

But if you EVER want to have a wild, exciting,
and rewarding dating life, you've simply got to
pull your head in and be a bit more realistic!

You cannot rely on "fairness" or "reason" to
get you success with men. It's about having a good
time, and showing everyone what a foxy, attractive
woman you REALLY are.

This may come as a shock to you, but as far as
men are concerned, it doesn't actually matter all
that much how pretty you are if you don't look
like you'd also be FUN.

If you don't look like someone who'd be fun to
hang out with, and someone who knows how to enjoy
herself, then men are going to be turned RIGHT
OFF. It's as simple as that.

FACT: in the dating game, you are judged and
evaluated on your appearance in the first few
moments of being seen.

But does that mean that less physically-perfect
women are doomed to eternal failure? OF COURSE
NOT!!

It's not just about LOOKS. It's about how you
PRESENT yourself. Your expression, your body
language, how animated you seem to be, whether or
not you're enjoying yourself ...

... all these things contribute to the impression
that you create for yourself.

Let me paint you a quick picture here.

Let's say you had the chance to relive your out
dancing over again. And let's say that, THIS time,
you made a conscious decision to live "in the
moment" and not let the fact that you didn't get
asked to dance drag you down.

Let's say you decided to have fun no matter
WHAT happened, and that instead of sitting there
feeling sorry for yourself, and letting the
corners of your mouth drag on the floor, you got
up and boogied down with your girlfriends on the
floor.

OR, you walked over to the bar and ordered a
really interesting-sounding cocktail ... and
possibly struck up a conversation with the
bartender.

OR, you decided to get on the good side of the
bouncers (always a good idea!) and went and
chatted to them for awhile.

OR, you decided to be an independent woman, and
went and asked someone to dance, yourself.

OR, you went to the ladies' room, touched up
your lip gloss, and had a good heart-to-heart with
some of the other women in there about the trials
and tribulations and successes and funny stories
of life on the dating scene.

   You get the idea.

My point is that, if you had done ANYTHING to
take responsibility for your OWN NIGHT ...

... instead of placing all your hopes on somebody
ELSE to "rescue you" from wallflower hell ...

... then you'd have had a MUCH better time.

And, when you're having a good time on your own
terms, and you're not relying on anybody else to
provide you with a good night, a funny thing
starts to happen.

You begin to feel incredibly liberated and
empowered. You realize that you don't actually
NEED a man to have a fantastic time. Sure, you can
still WANT one - but you don't NEED one.

And when we admit to ourselves that, actually,
we ARE okay without a man, guess what happens?

   That level of self-confidence,
self-fulfillment, and genuine happiness absolutely
RADIATES from us - and it's what men find THE MOST
ATTRACTIVE OF ALL.

Not only do they love a challenge ("She doesn't
need me? I'll show her!") but happiness is sexy.
People want to be around others who are having a
good time.

When you're authentically enjoying yourself -
not because you might get something out of it, or
because you're trying to manipulate somebody, but
when you're GENUINELY having a great time - people
are drawn to you like moths to a flame.

Men, in particular, are naturally attracted to
bubbly, smiley, good-time girls.     When you
portray yourself as a woman who's got a full,
exciting, and interesting life, you're at your
most attractive.

This is why, from the picture you've painted
me, I'm not entirely surprised that you didn't get
asked to dance!

Single men are often spoiled for choice. There
are LOTS of foxy, irresistible women out there to
choose from - women who look like they'd be fun to
hang out with, women who know how to have a good
time, women who would be what I call 'high-value
companions.'

These women make it EASY for men to enjoy
themselves in their company. They're
low-maintenance. And that's attractive.

Is it surprising, then, that you got overlooked
in favor of women who weren't sitting around
wishing that someone would come and make their
night better for them?

Men will sum you up quickly in the first few
moments of seeing you. It only takes a few
"warning signs" before they'll write you off
completely - no matter how pretty you are.

These "warning signs" might include things
like:

   - Slouching in your seat

   - Picking your fingernails

   - Sighing a lot

   - Looking bored

   - Checking your watch frequently

   - Playing with your phone frequently, sending
lots of text messages

   - Yawning a lot

   - Staring into space

A woman who's doing any of these is making it
clear that she's going to be kind of a drag to
hang out with.

She looks like someone who's totally disengaged
from their environment.

Someone who's living inside her own head,
instead of being 'in the moment.'

Someone who would require a lot of effort, to
just hang out with!

On the OTHER hand, a woman who is doing things
like:

   - Looking interested and engaged in her
surroundings

   - Making eye contact with other people

   - Smiling a lot

   - Talking animatedly with her friends or other
people around her

   - Dancing

   - Looking relaxed and comfortable, whether
she's with others or by herself

... is almost GUARANTEED to get approached by
interested men.

Now, I know that when you've been sitting by
yourself for awhile, that all of your friends are
off having a great time, and you're actually not
having a great time, it can be a real challenge to
SEEM as though you're enjoying yourself.

This is when you need to remember this basic
truth: YOU DON'T NEED A MAN TO HAVE A GOOD TIME.

And when you really internalize this truth, all
those horrible feelings of frustration, neediness,
confusion, anxiety, and "why haven't I attracted
anyone yet" will just DISAPPEAR.

   And what will be left?

A calmer, more relaxed, more engaged, MORE
ATTRACTIVE you.

This is exactly what I mean when I talk about
putting your best foot forward, and being the most
attractive "you" that you can be. Simply smiling,
having fun, and being relaxed is one of the
easiest and most naturally attractive things you
can do.

Incidentally, this is one of the fundamental
truths of attraction and seduction. Being a
seductive woman is all about playing up your most
attractive features in a way that reflects your
best self, and attracts others to you.

But this isn't easy to do by yourself. And if
you're a busy woman who wants more love in her
life, but doesn't have time to waste figuring out
the best ways to meet and attract the right men,
then I've got just the thing for you.

The book is called "Seduction Genie", and it's
the single woman's ULTIMATE guide to classy
seduction.

   You can find it here:

   http://www.seductiongenie.com/

Here's another handy truth for you: quite
often, when you ACT an emotion, it actually
becomes REAL.

So if you're slumping in your chair, checking
your watch, and wishing that it was time to go
home, those feelings will simply intensify for
you.

But if you decide to take responsibility for
your night and your mood, sit up straight, take an
interest in your surroundings, and decide to have
fun no matter WHAT happens, then your mood will
actually change for the better.

Soon, you won't have to ACT like you're
enjoying yourself any more - because you actually
WILL be enjoying yourself.

It may be an ugly truth that men make judgments
about our personalities, and our value as a
potential mate, as soon as they see us.

But we're all guilty of exactly the same thing.
And here's what I mean.

Who would you go for - the man sitting in the
corner, hiding behind the potted plant, avoiding
eye contact and fidgeting repeatedly with his
watchstrap ...

... or the guy sitting with a big group of
friends, laughing and having a great time, talking
to others and enjoying himself?

   It's a no-brainer, really.

So if you want to do yourself a favor, you'll
understand that your behavior COUNTS. You can't
rely on the men out there to see past your
slumped, aloof-looking exterior to your Inner
Party Girl.

You have to make it EASY for them. And you can
do this best by consistently making your good
points as obvious as possible!

I'll talk to you again soon.

   Hi, Jorge!

Did you know that a major part of creating sexual
attraction is being self-confident? Feeling
socially confident has been PROVEN to dramatically
increase your appeal to the opposite sex.

Confident people are happier, healthier, enjoy
life more - and get asked out on more dates.

If you want to learn how to overcome social and
dating anxiety, what to do in ANY social context
when you're feeling nervous, and how to put the
sexiness of confident leadership to your advantage
...

... then you'll be interested in this book:

http://www.meetyoursweet.com/selfconfidence/women/index.php.

Take a second to have a look. Soon, you'll be
able to confidently start a conversation with any
man - even ones that you've never met before! And
you'll enjoy more dating success, with the men
that YOU'RE attracted to, than you ever would have
thought possible.

After all... confidence is absolutely ESSENTIAL
to building sexual attraction and chemistry.

And sexual chemistry is an exciting feeling.
You know - that bubbly, hot, tingly feeling you
get when you really, REALLY want somebody. You
feel "connected" with that person, that the two of
you really "get" each other - and, on top of that,
you think he's damn sexy, too.

   THAT is sexual chemistry.

Sound like something that can't be "created"?
Something either happens or it doesn't? Something
beyond your control?

   Yes.

But is that the TRUTH? Is it TRUE that sexual
chemistry just "happens" on its own - that it's
either there or it's not?

No. That is NOT the truth. There's actually
plenty that you can do to both create, and
maintain, high levels of sexual chemistry between
you and a man.

I get a lot of emails about this topic. The
main issue for the majority of women who write to
me about this problem is that it's relatively easy
to get men to LIKE them ...

... but less easy to get guys to WANT them.

There is an important difference between these
two qualities of being. When a man LIKES you, he
enjoys your company. He thinks you're a great
person. He might want to date you for awhile, and
would probably even sleep with you if the
opportunity arose - but he's not WILDLY,
IRRESISTIBLY attracted to you.

That spark - that sexual chemistry - is
MISSING. And it has a big impact on the course of
the relationship.

Often, the women who experience this problem
are just about perfect at first glance. They have
fantastic personalities. Many are attractive. They
dress well, they have busy, full lives, and they
have lots of friends.

It sounds as though ANY guy would be attracted
to these women, right? That, not only are these
women easy to like, but that they're desirable,
too.

But actually, there's a lot more to being a
woman that men see as desirable than simply being
a nice, interesting, and fun person. Sure, these
kinds of people are good to be around, and their
company is enjoyable.

But when it comes to creating real DESIRE - the
kind of desire that leads to overpowering,
irresistible sexual attraction and lasting romance
- there is more to it than simply being likeable.

You have to know how to create SEXUAL
CHEMISTRY.

And that's what today's newsletter is going to
be about.

        ****** CLIENT LETTER ******

   Dear Mirabelle,

I've recently started dating this new man. I
hang out with this guy a lot.  We seem to get on
really well and have a lot in common. We have a
lot of laughs together, and always enjoy each
other's company.

We have now seen each other four or five times,
often in a group of other friends as we have a lot
of acquaintances in common (we were introduced to
each other at a party for a mutual friend). And he
clearly likes spending time with me, but despite
this I am finding it hard to tell whether he likes
me as a friend or as "more than that" if you know
what I mean.

Mirabelle, I am really attracted to this man. I
haven't come right out and asked him how he feels
about me, but I have been calling him quite often
and arranging for us to meet and have coffee, go
on picnics, walk his dog, etc, so that we can
continue to see a lot of each other.

How can I make him really want me in the way
that I want him? I have made a big effort to be
the kind of person that I would want to date if I
were a man - honest, up front, not needy, funny,
smart, and I do not play games.

The other day I told him that I didn't like it
when he did not reciprocate my invitations,
because it made me feel insecure and hurt, and he
was very sweet and apologetic about it.  But he
still has not invited me to do anything with him,
even though whenever I call him up or see him he
is very happy to see me or hear from me.

I would very much like to know how to intensify
the spark between the two of us. I know hot
because although we get on really well I'm still
unsure as to how he feels about me.

Thank you very much in advance Mirabelle, and
everyone at MeetYourSweet, I know you'll be able
to advise me of what to do and how to deal with
this situation so that he is as attracted to me as
I am to him.

   Thanks again,

   - Joanna (Pittsburgh)

Okay Joanna, here's what I have to say about
your current situation.

Obviously, the issue here is that you're really
attracted to this man, but he doesn't appear to be
equally attracted to you.

Naturally, you want this man to feel the same
sort of irresistible attraction to you that you do
to him.

Because that element of powerful mutual
attraction hasn't occurred on its own, your
relationship needs a kick-start into sexual
attraction.

Furthermore, this has to happen SOON - because
otherwise, you're going to become fixed in each
other's minds as "just friends". And when you've
been classified as a "friend", it's a LOT harder
to get UN-classified, and make the shift into the
"potential partner" zone.

You need to create some sexual tension between
the two of you, and fast!

So I'm going to give you four steps to creating
exactly the kind of unstoppable attraction that
you want to create.

The first way to do this is to make your own
intentions CLEAR - but in a SUBTLE way.

For you to make it clear how you feel, in a way
that creates sexual tension and doesn't load him
down with your hopes and expectations, you MUST be
subtle.

You say in your email that you make a big
effort to be straight up, and not play games.
Well, that's fine for FRIENDSHIPS. But in dating,
some game playing is actually GOOD.

It fuels the fire, makes him wonder what's
going through your head, and makes you seem like a
mysterious, intriguing creature who's well worth
the effort of getting to know a little bit better.

So, step #1 is to create some distance between
the two of you. With distance comes mystery and
intrigue - exactly what you want!

You don't have to act like you don't want to
see him. What you DO have to do is stop making it
so obvious that you want to see him.

Try making yourself scarce. Be a little more
distant.

Don't tell him how you feel about him - even if
you've already done this, and EVEN IF HE'S REACTED
FAVORABLY, you MUST stop. He might enjoy the
flattery, but it's not making him like you more -
and it's not increasing his attraction to you.

To attract a man, you need to allow him to
WONDER a little bit.

He needs to be able to wonder what you're
doing, who you're with, what you're thinking, and
- most importantly - what you think about him.

Give him the chance to hope that you want to
see him.

Give HIM the opportunity to plan dates for YOU,
put some effort in, and keep his fingers crossed
that you're home when he calls you up.

These are the things that create a strong
foundation for sexual tension! By denying him the
opportunity to see you so easily, you're actually
creating a stronger desire in him to see you.

FACT: denial breeds desire. Attraction is
strengthened, not weakened, by having to work for
gratification. Don't worry that by being less
available you'll scare him away - because you
won't. You'll actually make yourself MORE
attractive.

By giving off the message that you're a busy,
independent woman with a full life, he'll
automatically accord you a high social status -
which is ESSENTIAL to attraction.

If, as you say, you are frequently calling him
up, arranging to meet, and asking for dates, then
not only are you being far too obvious about what
YOU want out of your relationship, but you're
killing off any potential attraction for you that
he might be fostering.

Remember: less is more. Intrigue is good. A
little bit of distance and mystery is EXACTLY what
you need here.

Back off a bit! Embrace subtlety! Give him some
space! Stop calling him! Don't make it too easy
for him. A challenge creates attraction - it's as
simple as that.

You might object, and worry that if you don't
call him, then he might not call you. You might
not see him. Your relationship might peter out.

To which I respond ... if the only thing that's
keeping your relationship going is YOUR effort,
then there was never a relationship there to begin
with. This is a painful truth, I know. But it's
better that you find this truth out sooner, rather
than later - you'll save time and effort, and can
move on earlier to your next, BETTER relationship.

Step # 2: be flirtatious. Make it clear, in a
SUBTLE way, how you feel about him.

Hinting is so much sexier than coming out and
stating a bald fact!

Flirting is all about HINTING to him that you
like him - but being elusive and mysterious about
it.

You mention in your email that you "try very
hard not to play games". To me, this connotes an
innate reluctance to flirt - which isn't healthy
for the development of sexual tension.

Yes, flirting IS game playing, of a sort - but
of a very healthy, fun kind. And furthermore, it's
absolutely ESSENTIAL to the creation and
sustainment of attraction!

One great way to flirt is by TEASING. Teasing
is a fantastic way to build strong sexual tension.

It's all about joking around and giving him a
hard time - but in a feminine and light-hearted
way. You don't want to cause offense or make him
angry, so don't take it too far ... teasing is about
being FUNNY, AFFECTIONATE, and CONFIDENT.

Start making a little kind, gentle fun of him -
teasing him, but in a playful, affectionate way.

Touch him lightly when you want to make a
point, or when you appreciate something that he's
said.

Use a low, sexy voice when you talk to him.

Be lighthearted, cheerful, and breezy when you
talk to him.

Step #3: Make sure you're being the most
attractive "you" that you can be.

Being, and feeling, attractive, is a BIG part
of creating sexual chemistry.

You don't need to be perfect or gorgeous - but
you DO need to be the most attractive 'you' that
you can be!

Dress in feminine, flattering clothes that make
you feel pretty and sexy - no scratchy,
uncomfortable materials or constrictive,
uncomfortable seams.

Experiment with floaty, draping materials that
cling to your curves, not compress them.

Wear a little makeup. No need to overdo it, but
just enough to enhance your features.

Try wearing an exotic, enchanting perfume -
this is something with subtle, but strong,
flirtatious connotations.

Making sure that you're looking and feeling
your best puts you in the right mindset for
flirting and attraction - and it'll ensure that
you're as attractive to him as you'd like to be!

Step #4. Don't rush into sexual relations too
early.

Keep some of yourself back - scarcity breeds
desire, remember. The things that we value the
most are the ones we work the hardest to attain.

Even when you've got him in the palm of your
hand, when you know he's CRAZY about you and is
really, really wanting to take things to the next
level, DO NOT change your mind. You must wait
until you're SURE that he's actually in it for
YOU, not just for your body.

How awful would it feel if you jumped into a
physical relationship earlier than you'd planned,
simply because you couldn't resist temptation -
and then had to watch his attraction for you
slowly dwindle away? This is what frequently
happens when you get sexually involved too soon in
the relationship.

Men will often automatically categorize you as
a "sexual conquest" rather than a "potential mate"
if you don't wait until you're SURE.

This is one aspect of love when you should
listen to your HEAD, NOT your HEART!

And don't fret. Tension is GOOD for chemistry.

Waiting a month, or two months, or however long
YOU need to make sure you're not making a mistake,
isn't going to do your relationship - or your
attraction for one another - any harm at all ...

It will actually do it GOOD.

Waiting before you hop into bed together is a
fantastic way to make him really, REALLY want you
- and to never take you for granted when he
finally gets you.

Being patient - no matter how excruciating it
is, no matter how much you like sex, no matter how
much you can hardly resist - is one of the BEST
things you can do in terms of sexual chemistry.

The more the pressure builds up, the stronger
the chemistry will be.

Remember, attraction isn't something that you
CHOOSE to feel. You either feel it or you don't.

strong, unstoppable attraction between yourself
