Dear Jorge,

Have you ever looked for something so hard and later realized it was right under your nose? This happens a lot in our busy lives. It is easy to overlook things, especially when you are looking for ways to make more money.

Take for example, used books. You have them. Books from your childhood, college textbooks, vacation books, and how to books. And the sad part is that many of those used books are probably cluttering up your home, your garage or office, never to see the light of day again.

Most people don't look at used books as a business. However, it is one of the fastest growing businesses today, in large part because of Amazon. You can operate your business on a shoestring budget, advertise your used books for free, and reach millions of customers with just a few clicks.

In today's Main Essay, you will learn about three benefits of why you should start selling used books through the world's largest online bookstore, Amazon.

In the Check It Out section, you will learn about a special report that Denise and I created to help you start selling used books through Amazon. This report is great whether you just want to sell the extra books that you have at your house, or you actually want to grow a significant business by finding and selling used books on a more regular basis.

In the Quick Tips section, you maintain a healthy body, how to clear your mind, and how to
lift your spirits by putting something on your calendar.

We hope you enjoy this issue of the Business Thrival Newsletter.

I'm sure that Denise will have some great insights to share in Friday's newsletter as a result of her trip.

The Easiest Way To Partner With Amazon
By Jynell Berkshire

What if I told you that you have been sitting on a home based business that you could be operating out of your home tomorrow, and you probably don't even know about it? This business has literally been right underneath your nose for years.

You may be wondering what business I am talking about. It is the used book business.

Millions and millions of used books are sold every year. It is the one commodity you have used in your life and will continue to use for years to come.

As an infant, your parents read books to you, in school you read textbooks to learn, in your business you have read books to solve problems or to learn how to do something, and in your daily life you often read books for personal enjoyment.

Books are everywhere.

Over the past several years, the used book business has been booming. With a slow economy, more people are buying books used instead of new ones. As a result, Amazon has become the top place to buy and sell used books online.

So, if you are thinking about starting a business or already have an existing business but are looking for more ways to generate revenue, than you may want to consider selling used books on Amazon.

So let's look at three benefits of why you should start selling used books through the world's largest online bookstore, Amazon.

Benefit 1: You Can Start On A Shoestring Budget

Unlike a brick and mortar business, you can start a used book business on a shoestring budget with little to no capital. All you need is some inventory, which you probably already have.

For example, if you have some books lying around your home that you no longer want or have books stacked up in your garage collecting dust, you have inventory. Sure you can buy books from local libraries, auctions or through other resources to resell, but if you are on a limited budget, then this is a great way to get started.

Books are standardized items that are simple to describe. For example, you can describe a book by its title, table of contents, its preface, or by the subject matter contained in the book. So, books are easy to sell. This is especially true on Amazon, if you know how to do it.

Another benefit of selling used books on Amazon is that you have no shortage of customers.

Benefit 2: No Shortage of Customers

With Amazon, you can market your used books instantly to millions of ready buyers for no cost. You would be crazy to not take advantage of this sales channel. After all, one of the best places to market your product is in a place where your ideal customer already shops. With a built-in customer base, it is easy to have repeat business.

For example, when you list your used books for sell on Amazon, customers can rate your services and provide feedback. From a scale of 1-5 stars, with 5 stars being the best, customers can score your performance as a seller. This "seller rating" of stars will appear alongside your listing name on Amazon as a seller.

Customers can also leave a comment about their buying experience for other potential buyers to read. The more comments and positive feedback you have about the quality of your services, the more likely it is for a potential buyer to buy from you.

In essence, a "seller rating" is much like a personal referral. Before making a purchase, a potential buyer can view comments and the 1-5 star ratings submitted by previous buyers. Your seller rating can directly impact how much money you can generate by selling used books on Amazon.

For example, if you are selling the same used book as your competitor at a similar price but you have a lot of negative comments from previous buyers and your seller rating score is low (like 1-2 stars), then a buyer may purchase the same used book from your competitor.

So, you need to be mindful of Amazon's seller rating system and how it works so you can generate the amount of income you want.

Benefit 3: You Can Grow As Big As You Want

Reselling books on Amazon has proven to be a great part time and full time business for a lot of people, since it can be done from anywhere, and you have the potential to make as much or as little as you want depending on the effort you want to put into it.

With Amazon, you can trade in books for an Amazon.com gift card or you can sell them yourself. If you decide to trade in your used books, you do by using Amazon's Trade-in Store.

Through Amazon's Trade-in Store for books, you search by title or keyword for the specific book you want to trade in. If Amazon or one of their merchants is looking for the specific book you want to trade, a listing will appear with a displayed price that Amazon or its third-party merchant is willing to pay for the trade.

To trade the book, you simply click on the "Trade In" button and fill out the submission form describing the condition of the book. Just be sure to be as accurate as possible when it comes to the condition of the book. Otherwise, your trade may not be accepted and the book will be returned.

Once the submission of your book is accepted, an Amazon.com gift card for the value of your trade-in will appear in your Amazon.com account within a couple of days.

This is a great way to buy more used books listed on Amazon or to use the money in your account to buy other items for yourself or others. But note that the trade-in amount may be less than what you could resell the book for yourself on Amazon.

So if you don't want to trade in your used books and are fine with waiting to get a higher sale amount, you can list them for resale on Amazon yourself.

You can even create a serious business by reselling books on Amazon.  To do this, you would buy used books from yard sales, libraries, estate sales, and other brick and mortar used bookstores, just as a few examples.

If you want to learn exactly how to do this, then check out our special report called "How To Sell Used Books Through The World's Largest Bookstore – Amazon" in the "Check It Out" section above.

So there you have it. Three benefits of why you should start selling used books through the world's largest online bookstore, Amazon.

1.  Determine whether you already have an inventory of used books in your home that you want to sell. You can also consider purchasing some used books to resell.

2.  List your used books on Amazon and market to millions of ready buyers for no up front cost. You just pay Amazon a small commission once the sale is made.

3.  Enroll in Amazon's trade-in books program if you want to trade your used books for an Amazon.com gift card. You may get less money with the trade-in route, but it can also be a great option.

Body:

The next time you are walking through the grocery store pay attention to the attention to the products screaming their calorie content at you. Hundred calorie snack packs, cereal, non-fat yogurt and highly processed fat-free cheese are just a few of the products. Although these products are low in calorie content your body also needs nutrition. Finding a balance leads to a healthy body.

Mind:

Meditation is a great way to calm your mind and allow it to function better throughout the day. There are several different types of mediation.  One way to meditate is to calm your mind and stare at the same space on the wall. If your mind has a thought, just release the thought and keep staring at the same place.  Another great way to meditate is to pick a word such as "Love" to repeat over and over inside your head (not out loud) for that entire 15 minutes.  It takes a little practice, but just 15 minutes of meditation per day can provide you with amazing benefits.

Spirit:

Do you ever have a week that drags on and never seems to end? Maybe your boss is nagging you, your kids may be getting on your nerves, or your "Honey To Do" list is getting longer. A great way to lift your spirits is to put something on your calendar that you can do in the next few days or week. For example, invite a friend to dinner to try out a new restaurant, go see a 3D movie with your family, or even take a spontaneous long weekend to visit a place you haven't been before. The act of putting this fun activity on the calendar will give you something to look forward to, and can make your week go more smoothly.

Dear Jorge,

I am a firm believer that how you think about your business (positively or negatively) on a regular basis determines the level of success you will achieve.

The more clarity you give to your goals and visions, the more you will be able to attract and identify the opportunities, people, and solutions that will help make your goals come true.

Some people call this concept the "Law of Attraction". Other people refer to this concept by saying "what you focus on expands".

But whatever you want to call it, the truth is, the more you focus on what you want, the more likely it is to come true.  (And unfortunately, the more you focus on what you don't want, the more likely it is to come true too).

In today's Main Essay, you will learn a 3-step process you can apply in your business to help you reach your goals.

In today's Check It Out section, my friend, Natalie Ledwell, shares with you her amazing discovery on how to put your success on auto-pilot. It is totally mind-boggling! Natalie used to be overweight, struggling entrepreneur who was swimming in debt, working 15 hours a day, and saw no way out. Today, she is a co-owner of a multi-million dollar company.

In the Quick Tips section, you will learn how certain types of exercises are good for your body, how to ensure you have a productive and healthy day, and how to lift your spirits with a quick trick.

How To Attract Everything You Want
By Jynell Berkshire

Have you ever said something out loud over and over again wishing it would come true…and it did?

Some people call this is the "Universe Theory" where you speak positive affirmations or visualize your desired outcome and it comes true by putting positive energy out to the universe.

Others may call this same concept the "Law of Attraction". Bob Proctor, the author of the best-selling book and film, "The Secret", is the master thinker and teacher of this concept.

The Law of Attraction states that what you think about and pay attention to the most, you will attract into your life. In other words, what you visualize will actually happen and what you put out to the universe will be returned to you in like kind. If you expect to succeed, then success will be yours.

Now, you may think that the Law of Attraction is a little out there or that it is too new age. And it's fine if you feel that way, because a lot of people do.

But you have to admit that when you spend a lot of energy on something (positive or negative), there seems to be a certain type of momentum that gets behind you in that same direction.

Have you ever felt like the better it gets, the better it gets…or the worse it gets the worse it gets?

That's exactly what I'm talking about.

So I think most people will agree with me that your attitude and what you focus on certainly has some level of impact on how quickly you get what you want out of your life and business.

So what does all this mean?

In essence, if you want to attract something, such as a large number of sales, you need to change your thinking from "wanting" to "feeling" as if you already have what you are trying to attract.

So, let's look at three steps on how you can apply these concepts in your business to attract more customers and reach your goals. Denise and I personally use these steps daily in the operations of our business.

Step 1: Maintain A Positive Attitude

When starting or running a business, it is more important than ever to maintain a positive attitude. Take for example, successful people such as Oprah Winfrey.

In a television episode of the "Oprah Next Chapter's Show" on her "OWN Network," I heard Oprah speak about how she prepares before for every interview. She visualizes the outcome of the interview, puts a smile on her face, and exerts a positive attitude to make the interviewee feel comfortable.

By starting out with positive thoughts and emotions, you literally magnetize yourself and attract all the people and help that you need.

For example, if you think of the law of attraction as a mirror that uses your current reality to reflect back to you, then you most definitely don't want to be negative. If you are resentful towards your business you are essentially limiting the potential for financial growth that can stem out of those avenues.

The same is true with customers. If you want to attract your ideal customer or increase your customer base, then having a positive mindset is key. When you appreciate your customers and show that appreciation, they are attracted to you and want to do business with you.

In addition to maintaining a positive attitude, you should also visualize your desired outcome, which is the next step.
Check out this free action packed video.

It features Natalie Ledwell and her amazing discovery on how to put your success on auto-pilot…and it is totally mind-boggling!

Natalie opens up about her life before the massive success of her company, back when she was an overweight, struggling entrepreneur who was swimming in debt, working 15 hours a day, and saw no way out.

It all changed a few years ago, and Natalie finally spills the beans on how she's managed to turn it ALL around.

See how she did it right here and how YOU can too.

Step 2: Visualize Your Desired Outcome And Take Action

To consciously create business success, you should visualize your desired outcome. Visualize what it feels like to attract and interact with new customers. If success for your business means selling more products, then mentally put yourself in the emotional state of what it feels like when you realize your product sales are up.

Whatever the case, plug in as many details as you can, and remember that you are not just looking at the scene in your mind but you are also feeling what it will be like during that moment. Just picture yourself in that successful moment and feel how great it is to be there. And, the best part is that it doesn't take much time to visualize.

Once you have visualized your success, you now must take action as the opportunities rush into your life to help you fill in the blanks. You can't just stop at visualizing.

Visualizing is just the step that helps you attract the answers and opportunities that you are looking for.  You then have to act once those opportunities and solutions are presented.

Step 3: Take Time To Reflect On Your Business

It's also a good idea to spend some time every day reflecting on your business. This is a good way for you to be mindful of your business and your relationship with your business and your customers.

For example, ask yourself these following questions:

-Why am I in business? Is it the business I want to be in?

-How do I serve my customers and contribute to their needs?

-Right now, do I love or resent my business?

-Who is my ideal customer that I would like to attract to my business to do business with?

By taking time every day to reflect and answer these questions, you will get a better idea of what needs to be done to grow your business.

You will also be able to gauge if you are maintaining more positive thoughts or more negative thoughts on a regular basis.

Remember, the quality of your thoughts is reflected in your feelings … and your feelings determine your actions.

If you resent the fact that your business isn't as successful as you want it to be, you may feel like a failure. These feelings may then cloud your judgment and affect the success of your business.  And that negativity may then attract more negative things.

So as you think daily about your business and how you feel about your progress, you can stay in tune with your overall attitude and progress.

This will also help you seize the opportunities that will come your way as you continue to visualize your business exactly as you want it too.

So there you have it, three steps on how you can achieve more success in your business and your life.
Here is a 3-step process you can use to help you achieve your business and personal goals:

1.  Always try and maintain a positive attitude, even when life throws you curve balls.

2.  Visualize your desired outcome on a regular basis and take action as opportunities that are in alignment with that outcome are presented to you.

3.  Take time daily to reflect on your business and how you feel about it.  This will help you gauge your progress and identify the positive aspects that you should continue focusing on.

Body:

Exercising offers a variety of benefits for the body — helping your heart and even increasing your bone density. However, certain types of exercises may be painful as you grow older, have problems with your joints, or are simply recovering from an injury. If this is the case, then try low impact exercises such as yoga, water aerobics or walking.

Mind:

Believe it or not, you have a lot of control over whether you feel good, have a clear mind, and ultimately whether or not you have a productive day. If you simply decide when you wake up that you are going to have a productive day and that you are going to feel good, you can make it happen. You just need to put your positive focus on the outcome you want out of your day, say it to yourself or out loud, and watch then watch your day happen exactly as you planned. It takes some practice, but if you make this a habit, you will definitely find it to be worthwhile.

Stress:

For a quick de-stressing trick, turn to an underrated sense — your sense of smell. Japanese researchers have found that linalool; a substance found in lemons, has anti-inflammatory properties and may reduce the flight-or-fight stress response. Other scents like basil, juniper, and lavender have also been found to lower stress and lift your spirits.
